POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Personal Client Advocacy, the Flourish Program Director (32 hours) oversees the execution of all Flourish client services, including overseeing volunteer Flourish Client Advocates and Flourish programmatic extensions and special projects. This person is responsible for understanding the needs of clients enrolled in the Flourish program and innovates and develops the program to meet those needs.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
● Directs and supervises client advocate volunteers to carry out Flourish client services, providing performance goals, work standards, regular situational feedback, and training.
● Consistently leads to protect, improve, and grow client relationships with Avail.
● Manages Flourish volunteer hours and advocates’ schedules to ensure efficient and effective Flourish program services, with the support of the volunteer advocates.
● Leads the Flourish Program development and adaptations to serve efficient and effective program services.
● Monitors compliance with regulations according to the Personal Client Advocacy Department’s (PCAD) Policies and Procedures Manual and works with the Managing Director of Client Services to update as needed.
● Collaborates with the Director of Personal Client Advocacy to ensure the effective measurement of outputs and outcomes of Avail in person and virtual programmatic impact.
● Oversees the regular evaluation of client files for consistent service delivery and improvement.
● Represents Avail to outside stakeholders as necessary.
● Interviews, hires, and onboards new Flourish volunteer advocates with the oversight of the Director of Personal Client Advocacy.
● Updates and oversees the development of client resources and referrals as needed.
● Collaborates with the Program Director of Male Client Services, integrating men into the Flourish Program and supporting the Director in male-focused services.
● Facilitates ongoing training of volunteers as needed.
● Implements plans for the professional development of volunteer client advocates and self-care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Competencies
This role requires excellent written communication skills with the ability to effectively and accurately communicate Avail’s mission and values to a broad audience. Job demands the ability to be a self-starter who can handle various projects in a fast-paced work environment and yet maintain attention to detail.
● Education: Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
● Work Experience: At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience. Maturity and leadership skills to direct a team, foster collaboration, motivate for impact, and evaluate departmental performance.
● Knowledge areas: Central commitment to best practice client care. Ability to assess program elements by depth and breadth of outcomes. Able to effectively and accurately communicate Avail’s mission and values to outside organizations. Manages by influence and builds effective relationships.
● Competencies: Demonstrates Composure, Trustworthy, Flexible, Empathetic, Exhibits Good Problem-Solving, Collaborative, Good Verbal Communication.
● Computer/Tech Skills: High proficiency in Google Apps, MS Office applications, and Mac software.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand, walk or sit at a computer for an extended period of time.
