Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide direct support and clinical counseling to individuals in need of mental health services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide individual and group therapy sessions
- Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary
- Utilize art therapy techniques to assist clients in expressing their emotions
- Offer addiction counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse
- Collect and analyze data to track client progress and treatment outcomes
- Utilize motivational interviewing to encourage positive behavioral changes
- Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans
- Work with individuals on the autism spectrum, providing tailored support and interventions
- Implement behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Previous experience in clinical counseling or mental health therapy
- Proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and interventions
- Strong understanding of working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
