Southwest JCB is seeking a top-tier Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team!
In this exciting role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of JCB and non-JCB construction machines at customer locations and our shop. You'll also play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction by providing clear communication and timely repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose problems, determine repairs, and fix machines in the field, including hydraulics, electrics, engines, and more.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on JCB equipment to keep it running smoothly.
- Customer Focus: Communicate effectively with customers, explain repairs, and ensure their satisfaction.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the Service Manager to prioritize work and keep projects on track.
- Continuous Learning: Complete online and in-person training modules to enhance your skills and advance your career with Southwest JCB.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment and diesel engines.
- Experience repairing hydraulic, electrical, or drive train systems is a plus (certifications preferred).
- Ability to weld (or willingness to learn) and use cutting torches.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with strong computer and math skills.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically able to perform tasks and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Positive attitude, adherence to safety protocols, and a clean driving record.
- Driven, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
