We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Plumber to join our team in Fort Worth.
The Journeyman Plumber performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing and vent systems for the building (including but not limited to: Chill, Heating water piping, Steam and hot/cold water fixture systems), plumbing equipment and fixtures.

Typical Duties:
- Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, gas and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Performs activities necessary in the timely repair of the various hospital plumbing systems.
- Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools.
- Cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe treading machine.
- Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines and pipe-bending machines.
- Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, and plastic solvent and caulks joints.
- Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers and water softeners.
- Performs operations, repairs, services and related work on various plumbing distribution systems and related equipment. Maintains an awareness of the sensitive and critical uses for the plumbing fixtures or systems being worked on.
- Completes annual continuing education requirements.
- Completes special purchase requisitions (SPR) for all equipment and/or parts necessary for repair or new installation. Aids in the determination of supplies and reorders as necessary to ensure stocked levels are maintained.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4 plus years of experience with building plumbing maintenance.
- 2 years of experience requirement may be waived if the employee is a graduate of a trade school specializing in plumbing repairs.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
- Texas Journeyman Plumber License.
