General Description
The Gynecologist & Obstetrician at NeoMed Center evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to post-pubescent female patients with injuries and disorders of the female reproductive system and the genitourinary system. Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent and urgent conditions. This Obstetrician specializes in the management of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Also provides comprehensive care for pregnant individuals, ensuring the health and well-being of both the mother and the developing fetus throughout the stages of pregnancy.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no managerial duties
Minimum Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from an accredited program (required)
Experience and Qualifications
- Required Obstetrics practice in the east region of Puerto Rico
- Desirable experience in a Team-Based Care model and/or Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model
Licenses / Certifications
- Medical License issued by the Puerto Rico Medical Discipline and Licensure Board
- Specialty certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology issued by the Puerto Rico Medical Discipline and Licensure Board
- Federal (DEA) and State (AMSSCA) License for Controlled Substances
- CPR-BLS certification
- NPI Registry
