POSITION: Logistics Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Full Time – Hourly Exempt
Job Summary:
Provides support for inbound and outbound logistical operations. Supports a variety of logistical functions, including tracking, claims, vendor communications, KPI filing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Track Less Than Truckload
- Send Updates to Customers on Late Shipments
- Maintain Shipment Delivery Log for Dietzgen / Carrier On Time Delivery % KPI
- File Damage / Loss Claims with Carriers
- Log Claims by Customer and Carrier for Freight Claim Ratio KPI
- Liaison with Customer Service Department for all Freight Related Issues
- Truckload Booking / Tracking
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience Working in Transportation with Carrier or Shipper
- Knowledge of LTL and Small Package Carriers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good Organizational Skills
- Comfortable Speaking or Emailing with Carriers and Customers to Resolve Issues as Needed
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background/drug screening
