Job Summary:
Ensuring all factory equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Ensuring that all facilities issues are resolved and addressed in a timely manner. Identify and propose CapEx needs for facility/equipment. Carry out day to day operations and ensure proper daily management and compliance of EH&S.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Minimize production downtime by ensuring machines are running at maximum efficiency
- Repair production equipment that is down; setting up new equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
- Plan PMs of machines
- Manage maintenance, facilities, and EH&S vendors to ensure all cleaning, waste haul off, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, dock doors, snow removal, etc are all completed in a timely manner within budgeted spend
- Ensure compliance with wastewater regulations
- Log equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
- Remove snow from parking lot and spreads salt or sand onto driving or walking surface
- Comply with all OSHA regulations and health, safety and environmental laws
Required Skill/Abilities/Education:
- Mechanical/Electrical Aptitude
- Ability to diagnose and fix machine issues
- 2-5 years facilities management and maintenance experience
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proper chemical storage requirement knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A flexible approach and the ability to influence and motivate others.
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s license
- Results focused
- Self-Starter
- Must own and maintain hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job. Frequently climb, balance stoop, kneel, lift, carry, push or pull up to 70 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of tools, equipment and machinery
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
