We are seeking a Kitchen Cook to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and complete meals in a timely manner. Must be able to work efficiently with front-of-house staff. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a desire to work.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates inventory control including rotation of stock and reworking of leftovers.
- Demonstrates ability to keep kitchen clean and properly organized per company procedure.
- Demonstrates correct preparation of meals. Assures that student preferences are taken into consideration and assures that gluten free / dairy free diets are available.
- Demonstrates knowledge of kitchen equipment including, but not limited to: Convection Ovens,
Slicers, Mixers, Steam Tables, Steamers, Tilt Skillet, and Grills.
- Demonstrates that proper portions are served at the appropriate temperatures; condiments are appropriate to the meal; presentation is pleasing and that proper holding procedures are being followed.
- Assures the kitchen is clean, organized and properly maintained
- Attends to other tasks as assigned by the Director Assist in the development of menu items
- Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields
- Knowledge of cost and labor systems
- Passion for food and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
