OVERVIEW
Join our team as an Interior Design Assistant in the St. Petersburg, Florida area and use your talents to support us in designing stunning results. We are seeking a creative individual with a passion for interior design to assist in creating spaces that are equal parts beauty and function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support primary designers in providing the best client experience possible while upholding our company's high standards of integrity and values.
- Ongoing communication with clients, vendors, and contractors. Collaborate with clients throughout the design process. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors to execute the design vision.
- Use AutoCAD, SketchUp or Homestyler software to create floor plans and 3D renderings.
- Assist in creating detailed layouts, mood boards, and material boards to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Provide sourcing assistance with selecting paint colors, flooring, doors, trim, cabinets, countertops, hardware, furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, decor and artwork to enhance spaces.
- Attend initial client consultations with the designer and take detailed notes. Take measurements and photographs of spaces to be designed during subsequent onsite meetings.
- Initiate returns, drop off items, pick-up materials, order supplies and run other errands as needed.
- Work with designers to create social media posts, reels and stories using Canva.
SKILLS
- Experience creating 2D and 3D renderings is required
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Computer skills including proficiency using Google Workspace. An intermediate level of I/T skills is a plus.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Remain proactive by taking initiative and looking for ways to learn and contribute
