Job Summary:
Join our team as a Private Duty Nurse where you will provide personalized and compassionate care to patients in various healthcare settings. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional 1:1 patient care and assisting in medical procedures, making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and symptoms evaluation
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under physician's guidance
- Assist in catheterization procedures and wound care management
- Educate patients on disease management, medication administration, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Support patients in ambulatory surgery center procedures and hospice palliative medicine settings
- Provide care in ICU environments and assist in spinal tap procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records utilizing ICD-10 coding system
- Coordinate appointments and referrals for patients in medical office settings
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
- Deliver comprehensive care for patients with infectious diseases
Requirements:
- Experience in diagnostic evaluation and primary care is preferred
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques is required
- Familiarity with home community care and toddler care is advantageous
- Knowledge of ICU procedures and medical office operations is beneficial
