Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team in Houston, TX. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities, with a specific focus on tilt-up construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and labor force.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Maintain project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
- Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Prepare and submit daily reports detailing progress, delays, and any changes to the project.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Monitor and manage the budget, ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of tilt-up construction projects, including site preparation, panel casting, and panel erection.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction projects, with specific experience in tilt-up construction.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications is a plus.
