Role Overview: The Oracle Cloud Instructional Designer reports to the Training Lead and will have responsibility for developing suitable training solutions with creative designs and methods to educate and enhance stakeholder learning and adoption of the new global Oracle Cloud platform.
Brief Description of Role:
- Apply sound principles of instructional design to all processes.
- Conduct relevant analysis with Oracle functional teams and designated business sponsors to elaborate on existing high-level training plan and curriculums.
- Create role-based course outlines and storyboards based on analysis.
- Create various types of training courseware (e.g. instructor led – classroom based, virtual instructor led, online, self-paced learning, learning labs, workshops) blending the following components as relevant for each training delivery method:
- Presentation and overview materials
- Level 2 and 3 business process flows
- Change impacts (what’s changing and what’s not)
- Nuanced localizations of standardized content across a global enterprise
- Oracle system demonstrations, simulations, and walk-thru’s
- Business scenarios and use cases
- Hands on exercises and data-driven learning applications
- Supplemental support materials
- Oracle Guided Learning assets
- Develop the training courseware using various tools, including various Microsoft Office products and available authoring tools.
- Manage the ongoing review of training courseware with the Oracle functional teams and designated business sponsors until final sign-off is obtained.
- Create exercise scenarios based on course outlines for hands-on portion of training classes. Create data in training client for delivery of end-user training classes.
- Organize and facilitate train-the-trainer sessions with the designated business sponsors to train the business instructors who deliver the end-user training.
- Potentially deliver end-user training courses if needed.
- Organize and facilitate courseware evaluation processes and make both in-flight and long-term adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct ongoing analysis for development and delivery of refresher training after initial Oracle Cloud implementation.
Required experiences and skill sets:
- Oracle Cloud ERP, SCM, and Finance experience(s) across multiple implementation cycles and/or in multiple organizations strongly desired. If not Oracle, other ERP experience (i.e. SAP, Salesforce, Workforce) is acceptable and required.
- Oracle Guided Learning experience strongly desired.
- Multiple full-lifecycle training implementations across a global setting strongly desired, including both development and delivery.
- Minimum 3-5+ years or more experience in Instructional Design and Development required.
- Minimum 3-5+ years or more experience using blended learning methodologies required.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, which include Word, Power Point, Visio and Excel required.

Experience with current authoring tools strongly desired.

Resourceful self-starter capable of producing quality work with minimal supervision required.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to quickly adapt to and manage changing requirements and demands required.

Demonstrated proficiency in working as an effective team member required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills required, not only with the Oracle process teams but also with super-users, change agent networks, and end-users across global locations.

Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with technology, support, and customer groups required. Must be able to translate technical information into a format the end-users can understand without losing the meaning.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses, and equity.
Salary Range- $135,000-$150,000/year
