Performs clinical duties as directed or assigned by clinical leadership or practice management
Greet and assist patients & families courteously. Manage patient flow ensuring enough time for patient and family education
Performs initial screening of all clients (to include pediatrics) scheduled to see a provider according to policy and procedures
Anticipate the needs of the patient and the practitioner during the exam
Ensure patient privacy and comfort during the exam
Performs other administrative duties, typing, filing faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc, as requested by supervisor or physician.
Schedule appointments, obtain insurance authorizations, obtain referrals from PCP and to other specialties
Preps patients to be seen in the practice according to practice standards
Monitor and complete patient record requests, mail paperwork to new patients, collect and record data
Skills:
Must be a team player
Current/valid CMA certification required, graduation from an accredited CMA program
Understands Medical terminology and abbreviations
Previous experience in an outpatient clinical setting preferred
Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
