SUMMARY:
Provide excellent customer service for managing Live Entertainment Projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with a broad range of customers, including but not limited to General Contractors, Agents/Distributors, and Architects from award of contract to close out of assigned projects.

Project Managers are highly organized with their plans, communication of plans and documentation, both internal and external. Understanding the interconnectivities between not only their projects but the entire enterprise is key to success.

Adherence to project objectives is the project manager’s responsibility but being flexible while working in the construction industry. Adjusting to change is one way a project manager must serve the needs of both internal and external customers.

Coordinates activities necessary within market-based team to facilitate effective order management. Facilitate inter-departmental support required for orders/projects.

Administer change orders for customers, which includes working with internal personnel for special materials, freight, and installation of services. If the customer requests special pricing or exception(s), work in conjunction with the Order Procurement Team to obtain direction/approval. Prepare and send proposed change order(s) and quotation to customers.

Identify special product requirements on projects, initiate and provide (SPR) Special Product Request to internal teams. Project Manager is expected to lead meetings, brainstorm and add insight to fulfill the customer and Irwin’s needs.

Manage order requirements for successful installation and address field related issues, coordinating as necessary with Engineering and Customer Technical Service support personnel.

Primary contact to obtain customer project approval through the submittal process, gather order details necessary to release orders per internal schedules. Be a problem solver to resolve customer issues, inquiries, problems, concerns, and working closely with market base team members and/or other functional areas.

Responsible for entry of approved project details into front end and ERP system.

Release orders for shipment, coordinating delivery requirements with customer, installation subcontractor and logistics personnel.

Promote after ‘close out’ relationships with customer and Customer Technical Service to address any warranty issues or after contract parts orders.

Travel to the jobsite may be necessary (10-30% of time).

COMPETENCIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Communication is an essential competency for a project manager to be able to pull the entire business value stream together for a successful project. Project manager shall have experience in managing highly engineered products while displaying the ability to help their internal team and customer in a positive manner. In addition, when assistance or support is needed, raising the concern constructively is also an essential skill.
SKILLS:

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills with an engineering mindset are an advantage.

Construction knowledge including associated software (i.e., project management software including 3rd party software) that would be required on specific projects.

Ability to read and/or comprehend architectural drawings specific to IRWIN.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
