Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service execution
- Manage a team of catering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific event requirements and create customized menus and packages
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards of excellence
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and banquet areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety regulations
- Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and drive business growth
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food service management
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems for efficient order processing and payment handling
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, training, and managing catering staff
- Extensive background in food service management, including menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
- Proficient in kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques, sanitation practices, and equipment maintenance
- Expertise in banquet operations, including event setup, service flow, and guest interaction
- Culinary skills to contribute to menu development and recipe creation
- Familiarity with the food industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent shift management abilities to ensure smooth operations during peak periods
- Attention to detail in food presentation, garnishing techniques, and plating aesthetics
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple events simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams
