Felix Construction Company is seeking a Safety Specialist in the Phoenix area with safety experience in the construction industry. This role ensures safe working conditions and practices at construction job sites presents ad hoc safety training, conducts site inspections, and reinforces safety procedures, regulations, and standards. The ideal candidate can communicate in both Spanish and English and work well with all levels of personnel.

WHAT YOU''LL BE DOING:
- First call for accident/incident/near miss (AINM) reporting from field personnel
- Coordinate (with the field supervisor as necessary) on first aid measures, and off-site treatment options and document all AINM details and report them to the Safety Director
- Completes jobsite safety walks for any issues
- Participate in the AINM investigation and documentation as well as follow up on medical treatment, job restrictions, corrective actions, and repairs/maintenance of damaged equipment or property
- Order and maintain supply of PPE and provide to field personnel
- Maintain and track safety equipment such as gas monitors, tripods, and retractable lifelines
- Perform new hire safety orientations
- Assist in the execution of the annual safety day for all employees
- Participate in regular Safety Committee meetings which include sharing ideas and following up on action items
WHO ARE YOU:
- 1-3 years' experience in a field safety role highly desired
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety is highly desired
- Bilingual Spanish and English required
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Can be trusted to maintain confidentiality
- Maintains effective relationships with other Management staff and employees
- Problem solver skills
- Well organized and good follow-through
- OSHA 10 or 30, train the trainer certificates on confined space, excavation, and fall protection highly desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, safety training tracking software, and Microsoft Teams required
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Have the legal right to work in the U.S.
- Safety experience in industrial settings
