Medical Receptionist Job Summary
Advanced Injury Care is a privately owned and operated lien based healthcare clinic. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care by offering affordable state of the art medical imaging in a patient friendly environment. Our focus is to provide exceptional patient-centered care with multiple locations, and providers.
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and well organized medical receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical office and provide assistance to our patients and other visitors.
You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for our patients and their families.
Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients, vendors, and other visitors to our medical office
- Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
- Field all phone calls that arrive using our general office number
- Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address
- Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
- Register new patients and update necessary records
- Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them over to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
- Manage inventory of necessary office supplies and coordinate reordering
- Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, and welcoming
- Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
- Friendly and compassionate disposition
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
- History of working with EMR systems is preferred
- Ability to use MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Self-starter in a fast pace work environment
Hours
We are currently looking for a full time receptionist to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM. There could also be the opportunity for some evening hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
