We are currently seeking a passionate Restaurant Manager to join Glen Prairie to lead all aspects of our restaurant operations. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage while motivating our staff to provide memorable experiences for our guests. We support not only our local family farmer, but other local businesses as well. We have an extensive list of organic and green farmed wines, and an ever-changing craft cocktail list! Our menu has many gluten free options that keep people coming back. We are looking for someone passionate, motivated, and hands on to join our team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Assist in appraising staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- Assist in training new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
- Ensure efficient restaurant operations on a daily basis
- Maintain high quality, productivity, and exceptional customer service standards
- Working with the Chef to plan and execute small scale private events
- Reports to the hotel General Manager
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Proven work experience as a Manager in a similar role
- Proven customer service experience as a Manager
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge (wine, beer and craft cocktails), with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and train wait staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Must have a hands-on approach and be able to lead by example
- Must have Bassett, ServSafe, and ServSafe Allergen Certifications or be willing to acquire within the first 30 days of employment
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the restaurant
- Frequent bending and reaching
