Sales Manager - Plastics Industry
Join an established company with a diverse product portfolio that includes raw materials for resin producers, compounders, and manufacturers using specialty resins. As a Sales Manager, you will drive sales growth by identifying opportunities across the plastics industry. This involves working with manufacturers using specialty chemical additives for producing plastic resin, PVC, coatings, and paints, as well as specialty engineering polymers. You will develop and implement strategies to increase awareness of our comprehensive services and capture new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target Identification: Identify and target manufacturers utilizing specialty chemical additives used in the production of resins, as well as specialty engineered resins.
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to enhance awareness and secure new business.
- Customer Relationship Management: Foster and maintain long-term relationships with customers across various industry verticals.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends to identify potential growth opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to ensure customer needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Technical Understanding: Minimum of 3 years in a technical environment related to polymers, paints, coatings, colors, or PVC products, with a strong grasp of practical applications.
- Market Knowledge: Proficiency in identifying target markets that are using additives in the creation of resins or using specialty engineered polymers to produce plastic products and effectively communicating their benefits to potential clients.
- Sales Experience: At least 3 years of proven success in developing new customers and driving sales growth within the related plastics industry.
- Sales Capabilities: A minimum of 2 years in a sales role focused on raw materials used in plastic manufacturing, with a proactive "hunter" mentality.
- Assertive Personality: Highly assertive with strong sales acumen, capable of analyzing opportunities and closing large contracts.
- Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred, but candidates with a strong sales history will be considered.

Pay: Up to $150,000.00 per year
