JOB PURPOSE:
The Replenishment Commodity Manager is responsible for purchasing and inventory of the raw and packaging materials for a mattress manufacturing plant. Responsibility includes optimizing the inventory planning and material costs within the company’s policies & budget. This role requires a high ability to balance inventory targets and maintain forecast accuracy. This position is a key liaison to resolve supply issues, ensures the efficient delivery of inventory, service, and cost objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes replenishment reports and produces daily vendor purchase orders.
- Examines and processes warehouse transfers.
- Monitors and maintains inventory ordering controls by reviewing forecasts, monthly reports, and vendor lead-time reports.
- Monitors & adjust price changes and special buy opportunities.
- Performs manual inventory adjustments.
- Assists all departments with inventory related issues.
- Works well as a team player.
- Follows all company Policy/Store standards.
- Communicates and coordinates with sales, customer service and operations to assist with customer needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in replenishment buyer/management
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related.
- Proficiency with SAP & Excel.
- Demonstrated negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage and develop supplier relationships.
- Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments.
- APICS or Six Sigma certification strong Plus
- Excellent organizational, documentation and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy, fast paced environment.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, requesting clarification when needed.
- A positive approach and willingness to learn coupled with the ability to work in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
