Low Vision Clinic Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Low Vision Clinic Coordinator. As the coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Low Vision Clinic. Your main responsibilities will include coordinating patient care, managing medical records, assisting the doctor and Occupational Therapist in delivering high-quality care, and performing administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate patient care and schedule appointments
· Manage and update referrals, medical records (both electronic and paper) and patient information
· Assist the doctor and Occupational Therapist in delivering quality care to patients
· Perform administrative tasks including responding to incoming emails and phone calls for the clinic
· Collaborate with other agency team members to access services that optimize patient outcomes
· Provide support to patients and their families, answer questions and address concerns
· Identify funding source for appointment and complete associated paperwork
· Conduct and track sales of devices/equipment
· Monitor and maintain inventory of low vision equipment
· Ensure compliance with HIPPA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
· Attend staff meetings, all required meetings and training sessions
· Requires travel to Doylestown, PA location 1-2 times per month
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
· Prior administrative experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred
· Experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems/Microsoft Dynamic database preferred
· Experience with low vision device and equipment a plus
· Interpersonal skills that encourage the highest quality of patient services
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask
· Strong written and verbal communication
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
