Sr. Applications Developer

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Applications Developer with a minimum of three years' experience in using and developing in two or more of the following technologies: Quickbase, SQL, Python, SSIS, and JavaScript. The role focuses on code review, system monitoring, test plan development, stakeholder communication, and system improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Design:
- Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Design and develop scalable and efficient applications to streamline business processes and workflows.
- Customize existing Quickbase applications to meet specific requirements.
- Configure user roles, permissions, and access controls within Quickbase applications to integrate with corporate active directory.
- Implement data integrations between Quickbase, Vista, and other systems using APIs, webhooks, or third-party integration tools.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of Quickbase applications to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Optimize application performance and ensure data integrity and security.
- Provide technical expertise in training and support to end-users on how to use Quickbase applications effectively.
- Stay up to date with the latest Quickbase features, best practices, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in Quickbase development processes.
Training and Support:
- Support Program Analyst in the admin support for MES Capture (e.g., access, security, etc.).
- Provide support and maintenance for MES Capture, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Support Program Analyst in the training and/or coordinate training for system end users.
- Represent IT at customer review meetings, as needed.
- Available for on-call support during critical system events.
- Support Production Change Management Process.
Development and Implementation:
- Provide development support on defects and releases for the Capture app.
- Support the implementation of new releases of Capture to meet business needs.
- Produce and maintain timeline for implementations and application releases.
- Monitor progress of software release and IT initiatives for effective project control.
- Track and provide status reporting.
Testing:
- Support Program Analyst in the coordination and communication with functional users for the testing and validation of system changes.
- Provide coaching and support with the design, coding, and development of unit test plans and scripts, as needed.
- Direct participation in testing.
Other Duties as Assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience using and developing in two or more of: Quickbase, SSIS, SQL, JavaScript, or Python.
- In-depth database knowledge, particularly relational databases (e.g., parent-child,
- Ability to understand and build comprehensive knowledge of application workings and the business process flows they support.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred:
- Quickbase and/or Python development experience.
- IT Help Desk support experience.
- Construction industry experience.
- Understanding of SOX requirements.
- Five years of IT support for a construction company or equivalent, preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
