Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Position Reports To: Operations Manager
I. Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and repair of the facilities, including building, equipment, vehicles, HVAC and property. Employee safety, continuing operations, and compliance with regulatory agencies is paramount.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities are as follows. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
· Troubleshoot and maintain complex material handling systems, including electrical circuits and components.
· Perform maintenance and repairs on liquid and powder blending and packaging equipment including motors, pumps, VFDs, mixers, tanks, and scales.
· Troubleshoot and maintain lift trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and various other vehicles used in production and distribution
· Maintain records of time, installation, cost, maintenance and/or repair to ensure work is documented and on file. Update weekly work lists and manage activities to completion.
· Ability to perform RFQs on repairs, maintenance and projects.
· Ensure the business meets or exceeds all applicable regulatory compliance requirements, including OSHA and others.
· Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in the facility.
· Ensure security and fire alarm systems remain in good working order and ensure compliance with fire regulations.
· Advise on actions to minimize safety risks.
· Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
· Create and implement a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program
· Ensure top-notch physical appearance of facility, including grounds maintenance as required.
- Perform and/or ensure required inspections and monitoring of storage tanks, containment, piping, and forklifts. Complete daily/monthly reports as required, coordinate repairs with production and log and maintain work requests.

· Ability to safely operate power equipment, maintenance tools, saws, drills, welders, etc.
· Proficiency in MIG, TIG and arc welding required. Ability to sweat copper pipe.
· PVC piping, compressed air line, and hose installation experience preferred.
· Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams, use a multimeter and perform work on electrical circuits (120V/240V, single/3-phase).
· Understanding and knowledge of PLC controls.
· Excellent and effective communication (oral and written), problem solving, and interpersonal skills are a must.
· Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
· Perform duties with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
· Basic computer skills using MS-Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, previous facilities maintenance software would be a plus.
· Working knowledge of OSHA/HazCom safety requirements.
· Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
· Must meet PFT requirements to wear a respirator.

V. Qualifications
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· 5 years’ related experience and/or training
· Valid driver’s license, occasional local travel may be required for parts pickup.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
