PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Business Development Specialist primary responsibility is to identify and pursue strategic opportunities to expend our telecommunications service in Phoenix communities and neighbors. Ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the competitive landscape as well as the ability to propose innovative solutions to meet the company’s growth objectives.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Identify New Opportunities: Conduct market research (feasibility study) to identify potential neighborhoods and communities for expansion. This would include MDU, SDU, MTU, Non-Gated HOA’s & Gated HOA’s. Evaluate demographic data, market trends, and growth potential.
- Competitive Analysis: Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, including services offered, pricing strategies, and marketing tactics.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our services into new neighborhoods. This includes sharing a recommended approach to internal review teams.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in potential neighborhoods, community leaders, and potential customers.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the progress of expansion efforts, competitive landscape, and market trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Familiarity with MS Office/365 (especially Excel - analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
- Undergraduate (BSc) degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or relevant field; or comparable work experience
- Hybrid work from home as well as in territory; 75% travel required
- Experience in Telecommunications, Internet Service Provider, or Wireless industry is a plus.
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Bilingual, English - Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of OS Mac environment, a plus
