The Process Engineering Technician will be responsible for daily oversight of the production processes and the technical support lead to engineers to improve production operations.
Role And Responsibilities
· Performs data collection for a variation of projects in support of engineering initiatives
· Responsible for day-to-day oversight of manufacturing operations
· Performs data entry (Shop Floor System) and specific reporting
· Responsible for modifying equipment to match new process layouts
· Assists senior engineering team in conducting data analysis and troubleshooting
· Conducts failure analysis and/or troubleshooting
· Process Improvement recommendations
· Perform statistics, trend monitoring and analysis on process
· Supports new product introduction readiness and training
· Monitor quality and inline process trends, document and escalate deviations
· Practices 5S and lean methodologies and provides specialist technical input into team project work
· Partner with senior process engineer in performing new product validation & process walkthrough
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager.
Skills, Education And Training
- Associates degree in computer Science or related technical field
- Minimum 1 year experience within relevant field
- Computer hardware and networking experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required
- Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
- Computer skills: MS office
- Ability to work with direct supervision
- Minitab experience a plus
