Summary:
Cashier/Customer Service is an essential team member who often has the most client interaction. Client acknowledgement and accuracy in operating cash register are the two main responsibilities of the Cashier/Customer Service. As Cashier/Customer Service, you will uphold the organization's image through your attitude, appearance and concern for client satisfaction
Responsibilities:
Operate register by scanning merchandise, engaging clients throughout transactions, proper tendering of each transaction and thanking clients for shopping at our store; Processes returns and refunds; Maintains familiarity with all ads, rebates and special pricing; Reports pricing errors to management; Follows company policies and procedures for all transactions; Ensures clients are receiving all the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member and seeking participation from clients; Assists with other store functions such as customer service, price changes and inventory maintenance.
Attendance:
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required along with the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Skills and Qualifications:
Cashier/Customer Service should have basic computer knowledge. Cashier/Customer Service and/or retail experience is preferred. Cashier/Customer Service must be able to professionally communicate with clients, all members of store management and other store associates. Cashier/Customer Service must complete assigned training when prompted (including, but not limited to: online courses, workshops and on-the-job training).
Language/Academic Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to correspond and speak effectively with clients or associates of the organization. Ability to understand and respond to verbal instructions or questions. Bilingual Candidates a plus. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the Cashier/Customer Service is regularly required to walk and use hands to handle objects and tools. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
