We have a 1099 contractor opportunity with a Pomeroy client for a remote IT Support Technician. This is a 100% remote contract opportunity slated to run for 6 months with possibility of extension.
Note: Typical days will be Monday thru Fridays, with 1st shift hours.
1099 Rate: $20-$21/hr
Responsibilities:
- Image, load, configure, and update software on desktop/laptop and other devices.
- Troubleshoot any problems or issues that arise with desktops/laptops.
- Document any troubleshooting and corrective actions taken to resolve Windows desktop/laptop issues in the Help Desk system.
- Load and reload, configure, and update anti-virus and virus scan software on desktop/laptop as required.
- Provide positive customer service to users within the Business to ensure they follow process and have a positive experience with transition to a new device.
- Provide proper documentation to process within tickets via ServiceNow.
- Provide additional support to users via remote connections.
Skills:
- Excellent understanding of technology and the role of the "client" in relation to the larger IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills - as well as the ability to communicate professionally with a sense of urgency and empathy to the affected user.
- Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in English).
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
