*Couples therapy training & experience required.
Do you love working with couples? Do you want to be a therapist in private practice who doesn't have the additional full-time job of running a business? Joining a group practice does just this!
Clarity Counseling Seattle is excited to hire our next team member for our group psychotherapy practice! Since 2010, we have been an established and thriving therapy practice in the South Lake Union area of Seattle specializing in couples therapy, relationship counseling, and sex therapy (some of us), with a current wait list of people ready to be the clients of our next clinician.
We specialize in relationship therapy, couples counseling, marriage therapy, premarital therapy, and sex therapy, with some individual clients also receiving help for depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, trauma, and most of the other common reasons people seek therapy.
We love our current team of 9 (8 therapists and one amazing administrator), and we're excited to bring the right person aboard! We’re looking to hire 1 additional full-time, preferably but not necessarily licensed therapist to join our team.
*Super important: Currently we are hiring for a hybrid position, with perhaps 2 days in-person and 2 days telehealth. The two days for in-person could likely be flexible. This is a full-time position requiring at least 22 client hours, which means booking at least 26 clients each week. For hours, we can be flexible but some evening hours (4pm, 5pm, 6pm) are highly desired, at least for some of the days you work.
Please note a few important things about our practice:
- Most of your caseload is likely to be couples/relationships, so please do not apply if you don't wish to work with a great many couples.
- Some of our clients are seeking sex/intimacy therapy, so training and the desire to work with these presenting issues is not required but is a huge plus!;
- While we love the kiddos, we generally do not work with children or adolescents, so please know that your caseload would rarely include these populations;
- We cannot hire anyone who is not currently a Washington State resident;
- Sex therapy / intimacy therapy training and knowledge: 5 of the 8 clinicians here are trained sex therapists and some of the individuals, couples, and polycules who seek us out are needing sex therapy, so we highly encourage applicants who are currently trained in sex therapy, though this is not required.
We provide:
- Everything to run the business for you, including intaking clients and building your caseload. All you do is the therapy you likely got into this field to do. We all have full caseloads and usually have waitlists, as this is a very established practice.
- Referrals for clients who are committed to therapy and value their therapist’s time. Our administrative staff will screen all new clients and match them to your preferred areas of focus and modalities
- Clients who are private pay and out-of-network, given that we primarily see couples, thus insurance can't be in-play;
- 401(k) with matching
- Internal supervision and stipend for outside supervision
- Paid administrative time commensurate to clinical hours worked
- Unemployment insurance and worker’s comp insurance
- Weekly group meeting among employees to facilitate clinical growth
- Professional marketing and web presence
- Remote work and flexible schedule
- Voice messaging system
- An EHR system (SimplePractice)
- Malpractice insurance through our group policy
- Supportive environment
- Care gifts
- Team gatherings
- Great team of therapists in a thriving practice
Requirements:
- Experience in, and desire to, work with relationships/couples, as much of our caseloads are couples;
- Minimum of 22 client hours a week, which means booking at least 26 clients each week (cancellations and sickness). Please do not apply if you wish to see fewer than 22 client hours per week or cannot plan on at least 26 hours each week to book clients;
- Desire and ability to work a hybrid role of in-person and telehealth;
