Job Title: Product Sourcing Assistant
Job Summary: The product sourcing assistant will support new outdoor product development, research direction, product appearance requirements, functional requirements and development management.
This role ensures products are developed and commercialized according to design and specification requirements, maintaining performance and integrity. The product sourcing assistant will assist the Product Manager in working with manufacturers and suppliers, communicating with the commercialization team at headquarters, and driving process improvements in planning. The position also involves managing communications, calendars, and critical path planning, acting as a liaison between vendors, QA and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure all products are developed and commercialized according to headquarters’ design and specification requirements.
· Evaluate developed products and ensure commercialization for mass production without compromising prototype integrity.
· Assist the Product Manager with technical application and process upgrades with manufacturers and suppliers.
· Communicate process and equipment upgrades to the commercialization team at headquarters.
· Drive planning process improvements continuously.
· Collaborate with Global Planning, factories, and SCS/SCI to improve order information and adapt to market demands.
· Manage incoming phone calls, messages, and basic information requests.
· Manage daily, weekly, and monthly calendars, including appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
· Follow critical path planners and monitor vendor deliveries, addressing delays with supervisor.
· Liaise between vendor and QA for critical path and QA issues.
· Raise letters of credit and liaise with AP on blocked invoices.
· Address price file queries from finance.
· Assist the sourcing manager with seasonal line order placement strategies.
· Maintain communication with suppliers, keeping them updated on key dates.
· Work closely with functional areas at HQ to achieve overall objectives.
· Identify and develop new sourcing opportunities, both domestic and international.
· Maintain positive working relationships with existing vendors.
· Research vendor performance, capabilities, supply market, and trends.
· Provide large data pulls and reports from Business Objects.
· Format and finish key reports.
· Maintain production order tools and provide daily communication and support to vendors.
· Monitor schedule and delivery with production managers and execute RMS system with Production Coordinator.
Qualifications:
· International trade experience
· Proficiency in Mandarin
· R&D experience preferred

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
