Located in Freeport, IL, NCS Youth Home is a Qualified Residential Treatment Program that provides intensive behavioral health treatment. The goal of the treatment program is to help youth change behavior. Our goal is to prepare youth for a less restrictive discharge placement of a group home, foster home, or family home. Youth present with mental health diagnoses including: conduct disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, oppositional defiant disorder, and other trauma-based disorders. Holding youth accountable for actions, helping in the development of coping skills, improving interpersonal skills, and empowering independence and confidence is the goal of the program. Caring for self and others are the two rules of the NCS program. The average length of stay for the residents is 9-15 months. The Chief Clinical Officer is directly supervised by the Chief Executive Officer
Duties of the Chief Clinical Officer:
- Provide direct supervision of the Administrative team, including: Clinical Therapists, Case Managers, Unit Supervisors, Youth Services Managers, and Intake/Aftercare Coordinator
- Function as a liaison between the referral sources and NCS Youth Home
- Oversee the clinical components of the programming, including but not exclusive to: reviewing IM-CANS, assist in the clinical leadership to the direct care staff, provide insight to interventions for resident diagnoses and symptoms, oversee client documentation, periodic training to the administrative team and direct care team, and overall clinical supervision to the agency staff
- Assist with clinical staffing meetings of higher profile resident cases
- Maintain healthy relationships with local partners including: Freeport Police Department, Freeport Health Network, and other mental health and medical health businesses
Qualifications:
- Must possess either an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist license in the state of Illinois.
-Minimum of three years of post licensure experience
- Prior supervision experience
- Must be approved through the DCFS background clearance requirements
