Manage procurement of $450M in MRO products and services, capital, and raw materials in support of Operational requirements for all mills. Position is responsible for managing all supplier relationships, comprehensive knowledge of associated markets, developing sourcing strategies and optimizing P&L contribution. This position collaborates with Operations and Finance.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain adherence to Company policies and safety guidelines. • To ensure the timely supply of goods and or/services that are critical to the company and its ability to meet its core business objectives.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies covering all commodities and services to deliver maximum value.
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of associated markets
- Oversee and negotiate all major contracts and purchase agreements.
- Coaches/mentors the procurement team on sourcing strategies • Optimize P&L contribution.
- Works closely with corporate finance staff to understand, control and participate in the development of sound financial strategies and plans for the department as well as leading the coordination of annual budgets and operating plan.
- Develop strategy to minimize impact of market inflation.
- Attends and supports the daily mill production meeting and participates in other meetings such as safety, capital/project reviews, contractor performance, business review, project scheduling, budget review and staff meetings as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BS degree from accredited college/university
- 5+ years’ experience of managing portfolio of similar products for a multi-site manufacturing enterprise
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BS degree from accredited college/university in Supply Chain Management, Business/Finance or Engineering.
Experience in the pulp and paper industry managing portfolio of similar products.
Experience with Contract negotiations
