Position: Registered Medical Assistant
Employment: Full-time, 32 hrs per week
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Position Scope: Westwood Women's Health is seeking a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant who enjoys working with people! The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Medical Assistant will primarily be responsible for assisting the Physician in performing gynecologic examinations and minor procedures. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic and impressive team of Providers, supporting the mission of providing outstanding Women's Health services.
Clinical responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Documenting medical history
- Preparing patients for examinations
- Obtaining prior authorizations for medications
- Covering the front desk/administrative office as needed (i.e: greeting/signing in patients, answering phones and scheduling appointments)
Qualifications:
- RMA or equivalent Medical Assistant Certification Required (must be current)
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Medical Assistant/ Certified Medical Assistant
- Preferred candidates should be highly energetic in order to keep up with a fast-paced environment.
- Scheduling and/or Front Desk experience a plus.
- Proficiency on a computer and familiarity with EMR Systems
- Compassion and excellent communication skills, are required
- Detail-oriented and the motivation to take initiative
- Outgoing, friendly, creative, and team –oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
