QUALIFICIATIONS:
· High School Graduate or equivalent.
· Minimum one year of custodial experience.
· Must have the ability to coordinate and perform all set-up and take-down requirements for athletic and community events, student activities and conferences.
· Ability to lift & carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and use a personnel man-lift.
· Must have the ability to work well on his/her own.
· Ability to be trustworthy and dependable.
· Must have an acceptable attendance record and good punctuality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Sweep and mop floors, vacuum rugs, spot clean carpets as needed.
· Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim and other surfaces.
· Collect, bag, and dispose of trash.
· Closes all building classroom, entrance and exit doors as assigned, ensures that all windows and door latches, locks & panic bars are secure and lights, other than those designated for security, are off in unoccupied areas at all times.
· Performs all safe work practices following prescribed chemical and equipment operation, storage and handling processes and procedures for personnel protection.
· Follows work schedule and performs designated daily, weekly and project cleaning processes and procedures in all assigned areas.
· Operates and provides for the general maintenance & upkeep of all assigned custodial equipment with minimal supervision to include but not limited to vacuum cleaner, Roto, Automatic Floor Machine, Carpet Extractor (bags, belts, brushes, filters, etc.)
