Rail Transportation Information Technology Architect

Required Skills:
· Detailed knowledge of:
o Rail Payroll Crew Management and Assignment systems
o Rail Hours of Service (FRA) regulations
o Rail’s supplemental claims, arbitraries, mileage, and tolls
o Rail’s current Crew Management planning process and data loading processes for various schedule changes and rollovers
· Extensive experience utilizing Mainframe On-line Applications and Utilities
· Experience with management of vendors of Rail Crew Management Systems
· Ability to produce a lifecycle evaluation for current business processes and a possible re-write or replacement for current Mainframe Applications.
· Strong Communication Skills
· Experience working and developing Crystal Reports
· Ability to perform systems designs, development, testing, implementation, and training activities for the installation and/or upgrades of various technology systems and applications
· Ability to performs feasibility studies for new system requests as well as enhancements to existing systems
· Ability to guide personnel and provide technical assistance as needed.
· Ability to work independently to resolve production issues and perform research to answer questions on system processing.
· Ability to work closely and communicate with the User Groups to define needs and understand system functionality and processes.
· Ability to coordinate project tasks between IT managers, Technical Services, Rail Operations, and other Mainframe departments.
