MUST be ICC certified in at least one discipline i.e., Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, Welding/Bolting and willing to obtain other certifications asap.
- Minimum 5 years Construction Materials Testing Field experience with at least 1 year of exposure to Special Inspection activities
- Basic math skills (Simple Algebra)
- ACI Field Grade I certification, ATTI Field certification a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives to project locations
- Consistently shows up for work as scheduled
- Works in a field setting in a close proximity to construction activity and heavy construction equipment
- Monitors construction work in progress to determine whether work is being performed to specification and is in compliance with approved plans, codes, and related requirements; inspection assignments involve primarily non-residential buildings and focus on structural masonry, reinforced concrete, pre/post tension concrete, structural steel and welding, fireproofing; testing, quality control, administration, and technical review
- Completes tasks and submits completed paperwork within appropriate time frame
- Promptly notifies supervisor, project manager(s) and dispatcher of problems or changes that arise on project
- Answers calls from supervisor, project manager(s), and/or dispatcher as soon as can reasonably be expected and, if unable to answer immediately, returns calls are first opportunity
- Adheres to established safety procedures

- Must be fluent in English
- Written – Handwriting must be legible; must be able to compose correspondence and prepare required reports, completely and accurately
