We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits in the Disney Cruise Line organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with key businesses and stakeholders from across the company.

About The Role & Team:

This Seaware Engineering & Applications Solutions (SEAS) team consists of multiple studios supporting a portfolio anchored by Versonix's Seaware Reservation System and includes mission critical Disney custom API's, Services and applications. The successful candidate will lead a fast-moving team tasked with delivering cross-platform integrated services and applications for Disney Cruise Line and Disney Adventures & Expeditions.
What You’ll Do:

Own the analysis, design, program, debugging, and modifications of software improvements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs

Lead projects that may be used in commercial and end-user applications or focus on software and tools supporting infrastructure and technology platforms

Work typically involves large or highly sophisticated software programs and systems

Possess an in-depth knowledge of current programming language and technologies, with strong skills in writing code and completing programming tasks

May perform or lead testing and debugging of applications, identifying innovative solutions

Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, improvements, and/or new systems and applications

Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications

Help engage around the estimation and planning of highly sophisticated scalable projects and their budget allocations

You will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies so you can make informed recommendations
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years of related work experience

Familiar with AWS technologies including EC2, ECS, AppStream and Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, microservices and monitoring tools including Open Telemetry and AppDynamics, with a desire to further develop technical expertise in data engineering tools, methodologies, and emerging technologies
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with setting up new Java projects, including pipelines, tooling, etc., from scratch

3-5 years of Oracle Database experience

Software Performance Optimization (memory, CPU, scaling, etc...)

Experience with or exposure to Disney’s Centralized Accounting Platform (CAP) and/or Adaptive Payment Platform (APP) integration
Required Education:
Bachelor's or foreign equivalent Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
