Ultimately responsible for successfully leading, managing and completing construction projects. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing general construction operations of ground up commercial construction projects valued at $2M to $20M+. The ideal candidate will have a background in Commercial construction, leading and completing projects from the ground up. PM’s act as the liaison between all contracted parties in a project and work closely with Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure a project’s success. PMs are responsible for Pre-Job Planning, Budgeting & Job Profitability, Contract Review, Trade Partner Management, Scheduling, Quality, Safety and Closeout.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
- Review and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Conduct construction site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and specifications
- Oversee project budgets and financials, including cost estimation and tracking
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Implement and enforce safety protocols on construction sites
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
Must Haves:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Construction degree or related field
- 5+ years Project Manager role experience
- Ability to do budget fee forecasting and project scheduling
- Ability to write and negotiate contracts
- Excellent leadership skills
- Owns safety, quality, scheduling and cost
- Can lead a team of trade partners and execute
- 10+ years of Commercial new build/ground up in the K12, Healthcare, or Hospitality/Hotel sectors.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members
- Must have new build/ground up experience with a General Contractor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Hotel, Medical office building and school experience
- Valid Driver's License
