SUMMARY:
The Company Store Clerk will obtain and receive merchandise, total bills and accept payment from customers, and give exceptional customer service to our guests in the Company Store by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stock shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise.
- Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
- Stamp, mark, or tag prices on merchandise.
- Obtain merchandise requested by the customer or receive merchandise selected by customer.
- Work in a clean and organized fashion.
- Treats customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect; Make eye contact and greet guests enthusiastically.
- Ship orders to customers in a timely manner.
- Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Total the price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
- Accept payment and make change.
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
- Clean stock room, shelves, counters, and tables.
- Remove and record the amount of cash in the register at the end of the shift.
- Calculate sales discount as needed to determine price.
- Keep record of sales, prepare inventory of stock, and order merchandise as needed.
- Finds work to do when slow.
- Other duties as assigned.
