Minimum Qualifications
High School graduate with two years’ experience in the field of human services, working with older adults. Knowledge of homecare procedures. One year of supervisory experience. Valid F80 certification. Certified in basic First Aid and CPR.
Additional Desired Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish/English). Baccalaureate degree in field of human services (education, social work, psychology, medicine). Valid New York City driver’s license. Group work experience with substance abuse or mentally health.
Job Description
This position reports to the Program Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervise shift of 2-5 program aides
- Oversee distribution and implementation of work assignments of program aides
- Recommend topics for in-house trainings for program aides
- Coordinate work schedules of program aides and ensure appropriate staffing
- Conduct weekly staff meetings with program aides in shift schedule
- Coordinate dining hall activity during meal time
- Coordinate and oversee medication ordering, distribution and log records
- Facilitate at least two group activities with residents (e.g., socialization group, communal birthday celebrations, etc.)
- Participate in weekly shift supervisor meetings and monthly staff meetings
- Collect and distribute clothing or other household utensils
- Provide emergency escort or homecare services to residents
**Shifts available: Friday (11pm-7am), Saturday (3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am), Sunday (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm)
