A Shift Leader/ Kitchen Leader at Sprinkles Cupcake supports in managing the daily operations in FOH/ BOH, serving as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of a manager. This role is responsible for leading and motivating the team, while supporting the day to day operations and maintaining Sprinkles standards. This role will also support in managing the team, handling Guest concerns, and ensuring all tasks are completed during the shift. This role also supports the management team with kitchen inventory, managing metrics, and ensures all BOH tasks are completed correctly and timely.

Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations and ensure tasks are completed.
· Lead and motivate Associates by providing feedback, offering praise, and coaching opportunities.
· Handle Guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
· Accept and prepare deliveries.
· Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and organization.
· Conduct cupcake counts, communicate expectations to BOH Associates, and monitor efficiencies using timers, worksheets, and continuous follow-up.
· Host pre-shift meetings, manage shift expectations, and keep management informed of any issues, projects, improvements, changes, and contributions to the Sprinkles experience.
· Assist with training and developing Associates.
· Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
· Support the management team in achieving store goals.
· Perform opening and closing duties as required.
· Execute packaging and presentation of cupcakes and other baked goods.
· Attend manager meetings twice a month.
· Assist managers with additional tasks such as daily Manager checklist, emails, and record keeping.
· Crosstrain and fulfill responsibilities of a Baker, Froster, Production, or FOH Associate.
· Uphold Sprinkles’ standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
· Uphold company policies and procedures and hold team accountable.
Requirements
· 1 year of management experience from the bakery, restaurant, or hospitality industry.
· Obtain and maintain a valid manager food safety certification within 3 weeks of start date, where applicable.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
· Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent guest experiences.
· Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, including cupcake trays, cupcake batter, frosting, and bags of boxes purchased.
· Required to work 3 shifts minimum per week
