Job Summary:
Assists the VP of Finance in directing the organization's accounting functions including the financial closing process, payables, and reporting. Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning and budgeting systems. Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization. Responsibility for finance team, managing day to day work, coaching developing and training.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.

10+ years of proven accounting experience.

Strong understanding of cash management and banking processes.

Professional designation preferred not CPA.

Knowledge of accounting rules, practices, sales and HST tax matters and GAAP.

Advanced user of Excel.
-
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Experience in working with multiple legal entities, including international businesses.

5+ years of supervisory experience.

Computer literate, including effective working skills of Microsoft Office, NetSuite, Quickbooks and Great Plains and the ability to adapt to and learn new software.

Ability to train new and existing staff.

Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.

Able to work well under pressure, including meeting and setting deadlines.

Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.

Attention to detail in all areas of work.
