We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Pastry Chef 1. In this role, you will work closely with our Pastry Kitchen Manager to assist in all aspects of laminated pastry production and management. From preparing and baking a variety of pastries to managing inventory and ensuring quality control, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards that Renaud's is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breakfast pastries and bread, including croissants, pain aux raisins, and sticky buns
- Ensure adherence to established recipes, techniques, and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area
- Collaborate with the pastry team to innovate and develop new recipes and products
- Uphold food safety and sanitation practices at all times
- Work organized and effectively manage the pastry team
Requirements:
- Experience with large-scale production of laminated doughs and handmade croissants
- Previous experience as a pastry cook or baker, with a focus on pastries or bread
- Proficiency in pastry and bread-making techniques, including lamination and dough shaping
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in product quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bilingual is highly preferred
