Description:
Summary Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, responsible for
administrative and clerical support and directs and coordinates human resources activities,
such as employment, benefits, training, and employee services. Assist HR Manager with
maintenance of all personnel records and tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources office, such as answering telephones, greeting visitors and assistant employees with questions or issues regarding employment
- Responsible for verifying all clinical licenses and certifications and maintaining in tracking system. Run monthly credentialing reports and notify department managers of upcoming license/certification expirations.
- Facilitate new hire process on all new Team members and track drug screen results
- Facilitates communication to the Leadership Team and presenters on monthly New Hire Orientation and list of attendees and responsible for submitting dietary order and count
- Assists with annual audits of I-9 records, background check and drug screen records, and all personnel files to ensure compliance.
- Report all new hires and terminations to the Attorney General
- Responsible for processing all employee processes, such as new hires, terminations, status changes, and benefits deductions, and entering terminations in system for COBRA continuation.
- Handle daily issues regarding employee benefits, and completion of employee paperwork.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- And all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-3 years in Human Resources, or equivalent experience preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
Word processing skills required; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
Computer literacy and adaptability required.
Excellent organizational, communication, and judgment skills a must.
Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with various levels of hospital staff.
