The Sr. Specialist, Sponsorships & Events is responsible for Ryan’s presence at tradeshows, conferences and other tax industry events in North America. This individual contributor will assess opportunities, secure sponsorships, ensure a seamless lead capture experience and track results. Daily tasks will be demanding and varied, requiring the ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities efficiently and calmly.

Coordinates internal and external communication with attendees of events

Presents results and insights to internal stakeholders
Client:

Ensures a customized experience for clients at tax industry events throughout the year.

Works with team to conduct thorough due diligence with requestors, to ensure needs are fully understood before proposals/business cases are prepared and presented

Manages the coordination and execution of contracts, approvals, and payments.

Manages and executes a strategic approach to tax industry events in North America at the direction of executive leadership.

End-to-end meeting and event coordination for various on-site and off-site events held in the United States & Canada, including but not limited to:

Maintains budgets, tracks spending, initiates purchase orders, reconciles invoices and obtains approvals.

Manages vendor relationships and supplies for exhibits

Stays current with industry trends and best practices.

Partners with team members to ensures all logistics are running smoothly

Attends events and serves as a brand ambassador at booths when needed

Problem-solves and resolves issues that arise during the course of event planning, or the event itself, to ensure successful execution.

Maintains records of all events held, including feedback on venues and logistics, to facilitate successful future events.

Manages post-event debriefs with key stakeholders, to discuss successes and opportunities for improvement.

Organizes and prioritizes multiple tasks and projects, and completes them within time constraints, following through on issues in a timely manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Event Planning, Communications preferred and 3 - 5 years of relevant event planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and orally, including phone and presentation skills.

Demonstrates keen attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills, as well as strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.

Demonstrates strong problem-solving and escalation skills.

Exhibits intellectual curiosity and is resourceful.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Internet navigation and research. Experience with Sales Force, Asana, Zoom Events, Pardot and/or CVENT a plus.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:

Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.

Position requires regular interaction with team members at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessary.

Occasional nights and weekends required.

Independent travel requirement: ~10%
Remote position
For Denver, CO-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is
$70,000 - $90,000.
- For New York, NY-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is
$80,000-$100,000.
- For Bellevue, WA- based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is
$73,000-$95,000.
- For Carlsbad, Glendale, Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Diego, CA-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $73,000-$95,000.
- For Oakland and San Jose, CA-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $80,000-$10,000.
