Job Summary:
The Business Development Specialist looks for new business opportunities in construction projects and property maintenance. They work with the executive team to create proposals and make sales. This person plans how to sell our services to other businesses, builds long-term relationships with important people, and explains why our services are valuable to top executives. They handle and close complex deals on their own.
Key Responsibilities:
- Find and talk to potential customers or clients through emails and in-person visits.
- Create and manage the process for qualifying leads and generating demand.
- Increase revenue by forming relationships with key contacts and decision-makers, leading to new bidding opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs, preferences, and challenges.
- Deliver persuasive service presentations to highlight our value and address client inquiries.
- Convert leads into sales by addressing client concerns and guiding them through our bidding process.
- Actively network with strategic partners to enhance the company’s capabilities and reputation.
- Arrange valuable meetings that support the business development and marketing strategies, including social media marketing (content & creative).
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan within your assigned markets.
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets, supported by a commission structure, base salary, and opportunities for year-end bonuses.
- Perform other duties as assigned or undertake special assignments as needed to support the company’s ongoing needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in construction management or a related field.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Proven ability to close deals in a consultative sales environment.
- Familiarity with sales cycles ranging from 90 days to 16 months.
- Strong competitive drive and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven track record in a sales leadership role.
- Passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Demonstrated success in selling to C-Suite executives and business owners.
- Established network within the commercial construction industry.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
