We are currently hiring for:
Part-time Weekend Youth Care Workers. Must be able to work both Saturday and Sunday every weekend!
Training begins July 29th from 2 PM - 7 PM, M-F for 2 1/2 weeks. You must be in attendance for all training dates.
Locations for our residential group homes are in Lexington, Nicholasville and Georgetown and you must be able to work any of these locations and must have a personal vehichle at all times.
You must be 21 years or older, have a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance and must have a vehicle on site with you at all times.

Overall Purpose: To provide high quality support to the youth in the CCC Program in relation to improving social, educational, and independent skills of the youth. To promote the well-being and safety of the youth in care. To maintain a clean and safe living environment.
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
· Support the youth in care by managing their challenging behaviors and, where identified as part of their Positive Behavior Support Plan and where you have received appropriate training, engage in physical intervention when required.
· Maintain records according to agreed procedures.
· Promote the physical, social & emotional well-being of the youth in your care.
· Ensure that the youth is safe and protected from harm through constant supervision; youth are to be in sight, sound, and reach during all waking hours.
· Support the youth in their personal and intimate care consistent with their individual needs and relevant policies.
· Develop and maintain effective relationships with those involved with youth’s care.
· Engage effectively with other staff to ensure a consistency of approach.
· Support the youth in pursing developmental and leisure opportunities.
· Attend and participate in Team meetings.
· Present a professional image of Key Assets at all times.
· Engage in training(s).
· Actively promote health and safety through maintaining a clean environment and ensuring sharps and chemicals are locked at all times. Every Youth Care Worker is responsible for cleaning on every shift.
· Attend supervision monthly with Operations Manager for agency supervision.
· Complete 30-minute bed checks. (Sleeping on shift is not permitted at any time.)
· Complete daily documentation: Shift note, incident reports, medication error reports, etc are to completed DAILY by the end of EACH shift.
· Work a minimum of one weekday shift and one weekend shift (Saturday*/Sunday) per week.
· Learn and follow health and safety rules and procedures.
· Transport youth to and from therapy, school, doctor’s appointments, outings, and events when necessary. Use of a company vehicle will also be provided. Personal vehicle may only be used in an emergency situation.
· Must serve one float shift per 4 weeks.
*Qualified Saturday shift will begin 12:00am or later on Saturday
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
· Attend training and development deemed necessary for this position.
· Ensure that Health and Safety is observed in the course of employment.

· May be required to assume other duties as may be requested by the Program Director that is commensurate with their level of responsibility and skills.

ENVIRONMENT
This job primarily operates in a group home (Residential home in the community) setting caring for youth with disabilities. You will be working as a team with other YCWs to care for the youth in the home. Must be able to travel to our three locations: Lexington, Nicholasville or Georgetown. One primary location will be assigned; however, YCWs may be required to work at a different location based on need. It is required that TCSWs can travel to and work where needed. Use of a company vehicle will also be provided. Personal vehicle will only be used in an emergency situation.

The incumbent may be required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and occasionally climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, and crouch. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
This job demands the ability to successfully pass and perform Safe Crisis Management at all times.
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
