Overview:
The Office of Capital Access (OAC), formerly Office Recovery Programs (ORP), directorate resides within the US Department of the Treasury's Department Offices (DO). ORP oversees programs authorized through the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES Act), the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (CAA), and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARP), as well as other legislation. These programs currently include the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, Emergency Rental Assistance, the Homeowner Assistance Fund, the State Small Business Credit Initiative, the Capital Projects Fund, the Coronavirus Economic Relief for Transportation Services (CERTS0 Program, the Payroll Support Program, the Coronavirus Relief Fund and the Airline and National Secuity Loan Program.

Be one of our financial experts who reviews budgets and makes recommendations on how to allocate money for this project. Be able to work independently or as part of a team. Primary duties include:
Reviewing work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Consolidating the organizational budget for review.
Vetting funding requests for merit and authenticity.
Draft MDL and supporting workpapers to include audit finding determination, Corrective Action Plan (CAP) determination and questioned cost determination
Support Alternative Compliance Examination Engagement Report (ACEE) review and reporting process as requested by ACT management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop and monitor budget reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with various departments to review budget proposals and provide recommendations
- Perform account analysis to identify variances and recommend corrective actions
- Utilize accounting software for financial reporting and analysis
- Assist in cash flow analysis and forecasting
- Maintain general ledger accounting entries for accurate financial records
Scope:
Compliance, monitoring, reporting and planning support within the responsibility of OAC
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts such as debits/credits
- Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger accounting
- Ability to perform account analysis and reconcile discrepancies
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with cash flow analysis techniques
- Previous exposure to technical accounting practices
- Proficiency in various accounting software applications
