Overview
The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for the recruitment, onboarding and orientating of new employees. Other duties will include social media management, job advertising and applicant outreach.
New employee starting bonus to be paid after 90 days of employment:

Responsibilities
- Supports the Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles of NHS Northstar.
- Supports and cooperates with specific procedures and programs for safety, confidentiality of data, quality assurance, current rules, agency policies and able to demonstrate mature judgment and able to make programmatic decisions.
- Under supervision of the Human Resources Manager, supports human resources duties in the areas of:
- -Recruitment
- -Onboarding
- -Orientation training
- -Social media and advertising
- -Content management and communications
- Assists in planning and execution of programs, initiatives, projects, and special events.
- Partners and provides support to all levels within the agency.
- Accurately maintains information system records and reporting.
- Complies with federal and state employment regulations.
- Contributes to the development of a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Experience/Education/Training
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent in education and/or experience
- Two years’ experience in human resources or similar role, preferred
- Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively and concurrently
- Proactive approach to work and the ability to anticipate needs
- Strong prioritization and organization skills to meet deadlines
- Positive and professional attitude and demeanor
- Detail-oriented and dedicated to accuracy
- Able to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Regulatory Requirements/Licensure
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License
- Department of Human Services Background Check
- Meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to NHS Northstar’s insurance carrier
