The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing in the provision of exceptional resident care. Candidate will assist the Director of Nursing in creating a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies.

Assistant Director of Nursing/ ADON Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily activities and coordination of all aspects of the Nursing Department
- Provide managerial support and clinical guidance to nursing personnel
- Ensure compliance with clinical practices in accordance with facility's established standards of care and regulatory agencies
- Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff
- Oversee daily staffing process
- Direct, oversee and evaluate nursing personnel
- Guide staffing procedures
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures
- Develop and implement policies that will ensure regulatory compliance and foster high quality standards
- Monitor nursing budget and related expenditures
- Resolve issues and deficiencies
- Manage record-keeping procedures
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
Assistant Director of Nursing / ADON Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse License
- Ability to effectively communicate with nursing personnel in a health care setting
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with EMR's
- Demonstrate competence in leadership and relevant clinical experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, when necessary
- Proven leadership, managerial and clinical guidance experience
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, Quality Improvement initiatives and general nursing theory and practices in accordance with CMS and DPH guidelines.
- Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Degree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
