The Exterior Specialist is responsible to learn and apply the Krueger Brothers Construction selling system. The Exterior Specialist's primary mission is to actively build trust and inspire potential clients to take action to choose KBC for their remodeling projects. Support existing clients in current and future projects. Nurture, build relationships, and follow up to help clients make a decision. Demonstrate to the prospective client, using the KBC Process, that the services offered by Krueger Brothers Construction are a better value than those offered by our competition. Respect and carry out any and all rules, regulations, or policies, which may be established from time to time by Krueger Brothers Construction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Goals- To stay active in presenting to clients their desired scope and selling qualified leads at a thirty percent close ratio.
- Training- Attend Company and sales meetings & training as directed. You should have a plan for personal Continuing Education such as audio training, sales training literature, etc.
- Practice- Participate in role-playing sales calls, product presentations, and closing with other sales personnel to improve each other’s skills.
- Learn- Learn and apply new technical information and product knowledge and sales techniques as changes occur so you are better able to overcome competition.
- Measure Calls- Professionally handle measure calls. Establish trust and confidence with the consumer. Set a sales call appointment when the complete buying party will be present. Use the KBC Measure Call process.
- Leads- Make sure you are successful by implementing self-developed lead methods to assure an adequate number of Sales Appointments.
- Samples- Maintaining assigned samples and sales tools in a professional condition.
- Vehicle- The company will provide you with a vehicle, to carry samples and attend sales calls. You are responsible for keeping it neat and clean. Each week you will be reimbursed for any gas and car wash receipts.
- System - Make sales calls following the company “Selling System”.
- Close- Close sales calls using the company’s “THE PROCESS".
- Communications- Prepare paperwork necessary to facilitate the sold project from Sales Department through the Production Department to ultimate Customer Satisfaction.
- Debriefing- Attending and participating in the debriefing of sales calls.
- Availability- Be available to make sales calls at times required which includes early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays. Plan to be flexible to work 2-3 evenings a week and a couple of Saturdays a month.
- Reports in Pipedrive and Buildertrend- Actively work each lead through the KBC Sales Process. Put all communication notes with clients in CRM. Provide the required reports by management and updates on measure calls, proposal deliveries, and lead activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- The Exterior Specialist should be in good health with a positive mental attitude, able to perform light manual labor, and use/climb ladders when necessary for their job. Climbing ladders and being on roofs are mandatory. A successful sales Specialist must be comfortable with ladders and heights.
- In addition to sales skills, the Exterior Specialist is expected to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the products being sold.
- Self-motivation and a burning desire to be successful (long hours and hard work) and the ability to not take rejection personally are essential for success.
- The Exterior Specialist should have a continuing education plan which includes attending sales training meetings, reading sales books, and studying sales and products training videos, audio tapes, and trade journals.

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Construction experience (desirable, but not required)
- Outside sales / In-home sales experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Team player with autonomous work experience (self starter).
- Sales oriented, customer focused with excellent soft skills.
- Strong problem solving, closing, and analytical abilities.
- A strong ability to learn and consistently follow a well-designed sales process
- An excellent ability to listen and understand where another person is coming from.
- Ability to ask for the purchase and be pleasantly persistent to ensure that a proposal is accepted
- Basic computer software skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Pipedrive etc.)
- Ability to work on multiple clients and projects while keeping all of the details straight
